SMF Converter is software that converts commercially available Standard MIDI file (SMF) data to a format that is supported by CASIO Pianos, and then transfers the converted data to the Piano / keyboard. After data is transferred, it can be used with the Piano's lesson function for lesson play. For details about using converted data, see the user documentation that comes with each piano / Keyboard model.
Lesson Parts
The right-hand lesson part corresponds to MIDI channel 4 and the left-hand lesson part corresponds to MIDI channel 3. Before converting SMF data, you should use commercially available sequencer software to check the MIDI channel settings of the original data and to change them, if necessary.
Data Transfer
You need to establish a MIDI connection between the Piano / Keyboard and your computer in order to transfer converted data.
Use a commercially available USB-MIDI interface, for MIDI connection. Note that some computer models may not support use of a USB-MIDI interface,so you should check your host controller for compatibility before purchasing one.
